Professor Hartmut Richard Glaser is currently the Executive Director of the Brazilian Internet Steering Committee in Brazil - CGI.br, the entity responsible for all activities of the Brazilian Internet company, including: the registration of Brazil's ccTLD, the assignment of IP addresses in Brazil, the group of responding to security incidents for the Brazilian Internet, the production of indicators and statistics on the availability and use of Internet in Brazil, disseminating analysis and periodic reports on Internet development in the country. the development of projects aimed at improving the quality of Internet in Brazil, including the operation of 10 NAPs (Internet Exchange Points) in several Brazilian cities, and the W3C Office in Brazil that has as part of its mission to ensure that the Web is available and accessible to all by developing interoperable technologies.

He was also a member of ICANN's NomCom for four years.[1]
