HiChina is China's leading Internet services provider, offering services such as domain registration, hosting, email systems, and website creation and management. They are a subsidiary of Alibaba.com and are accredited by ICANN as well as CNNIC. They host both English and Chinese domains and are headquartered in Beijing, though they have more than 18 branches and thousands of agents in more than thirty cities throughout the country.[1]
Partnerships
HiChina partnered with Afilias in summer 2011, to recognize Afilias as their leading TLD partner in China. Afilias' Senior Vice President Roland LaPlante has said of the partnership that, "With the tremendous rise of Chinese language on the Internet, our partnership will enable Chinese brands to present their domains in Chinese script rather than in English alone."[2]
