ICANN 2 was held in Berlin, between 25-27 May 1999. All meetings were stationed in the Hotel Aldon. This was only the second ICANN meeting to take place, and due to the succsess of the first one, this was due to prove even better, with yet more important topics on the agenda. The Advisory commitees for the ICANN 2 meetings were as follows.

- Governmental Advisory Commitee - Statement of IANA TLD Delegation Practices - Membership Advisory Committee

The Meeting

The actual metting took place over four days, each day was subject to differnt terms and agendas. One the first day (May 25th 1999), the initail meet was restricted to just the advisory committees that were to be taking part. These committees were the Governmental advisory committee and the Membership Advisory Committee. There was also a statement from IANA TLD which talked about the delegation practises.

Throughout the morning ICANN had reserved a metting room for each of the seven self-organizing constituencies of the Domain Name Supporting Organization. All information that was talked about during these meetings cannot be found at the current time, hoeever it is hopeful that all agendas and topics, talked about will be availble to comment on through following the link.

In addition to this, the DNSO initial assembly was to be held on this day, during the afternoon. the meeting commneced at around 1:30 pm and had seen the introduction of webcasting services, to ensure that people not being able to attend the meetings in person, were still able to take part in the discussion. The meeting gave participants in the various DNSO constiuency group meetings, the opportunity to report on their respective morning meetings, and also gave all DNSO General Assembly participants the opportunity to discuss the DNSO structure, aswell as possible next steps in the DNSO process.

The DNSO general assembly meeting was webcast, which included the use of realtime Audio and Video feeds. This allowed for realtime feedback and participation for persons not able to attend.
