ICANN 68 was held as a virtual policy forum in June 2020. The meeting was fully virtual in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. The meeting schedule was based on the time zone of the intended host city, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. A panel of community representatives chose Olivier Crépin-Leblond as the recipient of the Community Excellence award for his work in support of the multistakeholder model. Abdalmonem Galila was chosen as the first recipient of the Tarek Kamel Fellowship Recognition. Total attendees: 1,585; total sessions: 52.
