The ICANN Studienkreis (Study Circle) was initiated by Prof. Wolfgang Kleinwächter<ref>Prof. Wolfgang Kleinwächter as an open network for individuals and constituencies from the private sector, government, academic institutions, the civil society and the media to gather together ever year to take part in a high-level expert seminars on issues regarding ICANN development and internet governance.<ref>www.icann-studienkreis.net
