Ivan Moura Campos holds a Ph. D in the field of Computer which he obtained from the University of California, UCLA. [1]
Professional experience
- Ivan Moura Campos was the founder of a company specialized in Web management of information called "Akwan SA"; He was the CEO of this company
- He was also a consultant for Information Technologies;
- He taught about Computer Science at the Federal University of Minas Gerais from Brazil; Within the same University he was also a Dean of Graduate Studies and Department Chairman;
- Ivan Moura Campos also worked in the government where he was Director of Special Programs at the National Research Council of Brazil;
- He was also the Coordinator of the Brazilian Internet Steering Committee in Brazil;
- Within the NGO field, Ivan was Chairman of the Board of the .br registry;
- Since 2000 he was a Director at ICANN and the initial term established expired in 2003. [2]
- In 2004, Ivan Moura Campos was appointed by the Nominating Committee to serve the annual meeting of ICANN. That endedd after the conclusion of ICANN's annual meeting in 2004. [3]
Professional achievements
It is important to mention the fact that Ivan Moura Campos was one of the creators of the model adopted in implementing Internet2 in the United States.[4]
