Jaewon Son is a researcher at Gwangju Institute of Science and Technology (GIST). She is also a Committee Member of the Korea Internet Governance Forum (KrIGF), Capacity Building Lead of Youth4IG, and Asia Pacific Regional At-Large Organisation (APRALO) Member. Jaewon was an outstanding performer awardee at the Asia Pacific Internet Governance Academy (APIGA) 2018, and was a mentor and keynote speaker at APIGA 2019.  She has attended ICANN 63 in Barcelona as a civilian expert appointed by [https://www.kisa.or.kr/eng/main.jsp Korea Internet & Security Agency] (KISA), and ICANN 64 in Kobe as a NextGen. She attended ICANN66 in Montreal to enhance youth participation and ICANN67 as a fellow.
