Dr. Galvin has been working in the DNSSEC domain since its beginning and he chaired the first working group that produced the first sets of specifications and managing the research group the produced the first public domain implementation of those specifications.[2]

Career History

Dr. Galvin has been an active member of the IT and the Internet industry for more than 3 decades. He has several years of experience in technical consulting. Earlier in his career, he was the Executive Director of SSAC before he became the Vice Chair. From 2004-2007, he was the Internet Program Manager at Shinkuro Inc.. He has also served as VP Chapters and Individual Membership at ISOC, Chief Technologist at CommerceNet, Senior Computer Scientist at Trusted Information Systems - TIS (1989 – 1996) and Senior Software Engineer at The Wollongong Group (1988 – 1989).[3] He has been active in IETF for more than 20 years.[4]

He holds a Bachelors of Science with double major in Computer Science and Mathematics from the Moravian College and a Masters in Computer Science and Information Systems from The University of Delaware. He did his Ph.D from the latter university.[5]
