She is the Senior Internet Governance researcher as well as the head of the Innovation Department organizer and the Social Sciences Center for Research head, in all of which takes place in Berlin, Germany.
She was a born leader; she would take control of the IG (Internet Governance) association which was essentially a cornerstone of Social Science Research in Berlin. During the years of 1995-2000, Dr. Hoffman (As she earned her Doctorate) would work on a project called the “The Internet Cultural Area” going into in-depth details of the Internet and how it has effected our cultural as a whole since it was brought into existence and how it has changed over the years and how it will continue to change as the years go on, paving way for even more ideas to come.
She is also a teacher who has taught for the University of Duisburg-Essen, teaching about politics as well as Communications in America for the University of California, Berkley where she would teach International Area studies.
She has been part of the ICANN community for many years now serving as a nominating committee and she has ensured many of the site’s products and meetings take place at their pre-destined locations. Since she already leads the IG she is also a member of it’s Civil Society Committee which helps endow political education to a much more massive audience.
