Jiankang Yao is the Chief Architect on Internationalized Domain Names for CNNIC. He has been working in this position since 2003.

He is one of the Recovery Key Share Holders. He is trusted with the responsibility of keeping the key, which when combined with the rest of its six DNS keys can reboot the Internet.

He attended OARC 2009 Workshop in Beijing, where he gave a presentation titled "IDN TLD Variants Implementation Guideline" Mr. Yao attended ICANN Nairobi and ICANN Los Angeles.

Education

He holds a Masters Degree from the National University of Singapore.
