Jonathan Robinson is an entrepreneur and business development specialist. He is the founder of IPRota, a private company engaged in providing design and operation services as well as rights protection mechanism for new gTLDs and co-founder and of Group NBT, a domain management company. He also serves as director of Ortegra, a company dedicated in helping entrepreneurs develop their ideas into a profit generating business and Afilias, registry operator of .info gTLD.[1] [2] [3]

Education

Robinson went to the University of Cape Town and received a Phd in Materials Engineering, MSc in Applied Science and BSc Physics.

Career History

In 2006, Robinson served as Chief Operating Officer (COO) and he responsible for the group's product management, software development, technical operations, service delivery, commercial media relations, project acquisitions and integration as well as M&A strategy, prospecting and execution support. He left the company in 2009. In 1997, he worked for Net Benefit Plc as Chief Executive Officer and he was responsible in listing the company at the London Stock Exchange and acquisition of several companies. In 2001, he assumed the position of Business Development Director and supervised the Net Plc's product, software development and technical operations until 2005. He also served as Director of Nominet UK Ltd from 2003 until 2006. He was a Research Fellow at the Rolls Royce Technology Centre at the University of Canbridge from 1995 to 1996 and became a Research Associate at the Imperial College in London from 1993-1994.[4]
