Jordan Carter is Chief Executive of InternetNZ, a non-profit Internet organisation in New Zealand that is the ccTLD manager for the .nz domain. InternetNZ focuses on a broad "open Internet" agenda with some similarity to ISOC's work.

In the ICANN environment, Jordan has been involved in the IANA Stewardship transition and ICANN accountability processes since he began his ICANN career in late 2013.

Jordan leads InternetNZ's staff team and the organisation's delivery of its work programme.

Prior roles included policy positions at InternetNZ, Secretariat Manager for APTLD, consulting roles through a private practice, and a brief period working at the New Zealand Parliament.
