Leon Sanchez is the Vice-Chair of ICANN Board of Directors. He was selected by the At-Large Community to serve from November 2017 to the Annual General Meeting in 2023. He is the Head of the Intellectual Property Division at the Mexico City-based law firm Fulton & Fulton.[1]
ICANN Involvement
Sánchez has served in ICANN as the At-Large Advisory Committee (ALAC) Vice-Chair and the Co-Chair of the Cross Community Working Group (CCWG) on Accountability. He was deeply involved in the IANA stewardship transition. Sánchez was elected by the At-Large community to be its designated Director on the ICANN Board of Directors from 2017 to 2020.
Education
Sánchez graduated from the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM) in Mexico City. He completed postgraduate studies in intellectual property at the UNAM and Internet law at Harvard Law School.
