Introduction

LogicBoxes is a software and development company that specializes in web presence products. It is a business unit of the Directi [1] Group and was founded in 2003[2]by Bhavin Turakhia.[3]

It provides an ERP solution that handles sales, marketing, finance, billing and provisioning automation for domain registrars. On building a single integration to the LogicBoxes platform, Registrars can connect to gTLDs and ccTLD registries.

It is based in Mumbai, India and operates out the Directi Headquarters called Directiplex.[4] [5]

LogicBoxes also has employees in China, UAE and USA as part of the resources it shares with the Directi Group.[6]

Company History

LogicBoxes was launched in 2003 as a separate business unit of Directi, which would provide registrar software to Directi’s in-house domain registrar, ResellerClub and other registrars. It was the first business automation solution for registrars and is currently the largest.[7]

Products and Services

ICANN Consultancy

LogicBoxes consults domain resellers, web hosts, ISPs and telcos on gaining ICANN accreditation. Till date they have accredited over 85 registrars.[8]

At HostingCon in August 2009, LogicBoxes announced Accreditation.com, a division that exclusively assists candidates achieve ICANN Accreditation.[9]

Domain Registry Services

LogicBoxes has provided registrar software to ccTLDs registries to help them set up a local or their own registrar. They have worked with .MN [10] - Datacom Co Ltd [11]and .COOP[12] - the Midcounties Co-operative.[13] [14] [15] [16]

LogicBoxes carried out the domain migration of 27,000 domains for the .CO registry from the Universidad de los Andes to the Registry’s own Registrar in 2010. [17]
