NIC.sh (aka Island of St. Helena Network Information Center) is the registry- for the ccTLD .sh, which is allocated to the Island of Saint Helena. It is a subsidiary of the Internet Computer Bureau, a company based in the United Kingdom, which offers software, routing and satellite services to domain name registries, government telecommunication authorities and telecommunication companies worldwide.
- On December 30, 2021, in a CircleID blog post, Jeff Neuman questioned the practicality of ICANN’s Accountability Mechanisms, called for ICANN's Whistleblower Policy to extend to persons other than employees of ICANN, and accused ICANN of retaliating against DHH for filing an Urgent Reconsideration Request citing ICANN staff's inaction in responding to its Assignment Request for the .hiphop Registry Agreement. ICANN has paused any further consideration of DHH’s Assignment request pending the outcome of the Reconsideration Request by the ICANN Board Accountability Mechanisms Committee (BAMC).
- On January 5, 2022, ICANN responded to the .hiphop situation, and the Uniregistry assignments generally.
- On January 10, 2022, Monte Cahn, the President of Right of the Dot, founder and former CEO of Moniker, and former President of SnapNames announced his partnership with Neuman and Digital Asset Monetary Network to become the registry operator for .hiphop.
- On January 13, 2022, DHH sent a letter withdrawing its reconsideration request and posting rebuttals to ICANN's blog post as it related to .hiphop.
