Marita Moll is a public policy researcher and freelance writer with an interest in telecommunications and an ALAC member.

Career History

From 2015-2018, Moll served as a member of the Board of Directors of the Canadian Internet Registration Authority (CIRA). She also served as a member of CIRA's Community Investment Program Advisory Committee for 5 years and co-chaired for one year. From 2005-2014, she was a sessional lecturer in the department of Technology, Society, and Environment Studies at Carleton University, Ottawa, Canada.

ICANN and Internet Governance Participation

Moll is a NARALO Representative on the ALAC. She has been part of GNSO, the New GTLD program development, the WG - WT5 and the ALAC Finance and Budget Subcommittee.

She has also served on the Board of directors of the Canadian chapter of the Internet Society (ISOC). She has served as the President of Telecommunities Canada and worked closely with community-based networking projects, including the "Community Access Sites" (CAP) program, which was established by Industry Canada in 1994 to ensure that all Canadians had access to the internet via public internet access sites. Many of these sites have restructured their funding and continue to provide services in communities.
