It November, 2012, it was reported that MelbourneIT was reviewing the possibility of selling some of its business units off in response to a earnings decline in 2012. One of the noted reasons for the decline was the consistently delayed [[New gTLD program]] from ICANN, which it attributed with a 10% decline in pre-tax earnings.
