Patrick Kane is the Senior vice-President and General Manager of Naming Services at VeriSign, where he has worked since 1999[1]
He is responsible for the operational management, and relevant policy development for all TLDs operated by VeriSign under contract with the ICANN; which include .com, .net, .name, .jobs, and .edu. He has worked extensively around the development and deployment of IDNs, and is a member of ICANN's Presidential Advisory Board for IDNs.[2]
Prior Work
Previous to Verisign, he was a Senior Principal with American Management Systems (AMS) for three years serving as an Engagement Manager deploying tax fraud identification systems for state and local governments. Prior to AMS, Mr Kane spent fifteen years with Electronic Data Systems (EDS) as an Account Manager, Systems Engineering Manager and Systems Engineer managing outsourced IT engagements in the Oil and Chemical industries, Healthcare Services and Federal, State and Local Governments. Mr Kane holds a Bachelor of Science in Architectural Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin.
