Ricardo Vaz Monteiro was the former CEO of the first ICANN accredited Registrar in Latin America, Nomer.com, and is the former COO of Siter.com.

Monteiro is active in providing comments on the different issues discussed within the ICANN public forum. He also participates in ICANN Meetings. In 2005, he expressed his support for the .xxx gTLD proposal. He is an ICANN fellow during the ICANN 29 Meeting in San Juan Puerto Rico in 2007. He is also a Domain name broker and Author of the 1st book in Portuguese about Domain names: Escolha seu .com ("Choose your .com" ISBN 8574522090).
