Rob Davey is the Senior Account Manager at Thomson CompuMark, a Thomson Reuters company.[1]
After studying BSc Technology Management at Oxford Brookes University[2], Rob spent two years working for market research company NOP. Rob entered the domain name industry in 1998 when he joined the Customer Support department of Nominet UK, the registry for .uk domain names. Rob worked at Nominet for 2 years, helping registrants and registrars with all aspects of domain name management.[3]
In 2001 Rob joined Net Searchers International Ltd. as a Key Account Manager. In this role, he assisted the Intellectual Property departments of major multinational companies to protect their trademarks and brands in the domain name system. During this time Rob worked with many leading companies in the FMCG, Pharmaceuticals and Telecommunications industries in the UK and Scandinavia. In 2002 Net Searchers was taken over by Register.com Inc and by 2004 Rob was leading their European account management team as Sales a Support Manager.
Rob joined CPA Global in October 2005, and left in November 2007, after which he joined Thomson CompuMark.[4]
