Siavash Shahshahani is a well-known Iranian Mathematician. He has done a lot of research in the field of mathematics and has published numerous papers. Currently, he is the Senior Fellow of IPM and has been a Professor at Sharif University of Technology since 1974.[1] He is currently head of its Mathematics department.

He served as Head of the School of Mathematics from 1989 to 1994.[5] He has also served as a Director of the APTLD for two years, from 2007 to 2009. He was a longtime director of IRNIC, the .ir ccTLD Registry, he retired from it in 2008.[6]

Memberships

Siavash remained a Member of Scientific Council of IPM from 1989 to 1993.[7] He was on the ICANN Board in 2005.[8] He is a member of ccTLD registry of Iran.[9]

Education

Siavash got his Bachelor's degree in 1964 and Master's degree in 1966 from the University of California, Berkley. He also received his Ph.D. from the University of California, Berkley in 1969.[10]
