Sierra Ventures is a Silicon Valley based capital firm focusing its investments across all areas of the Information Technology sectors from semiconductors to enterprise software. Its board of directors consist of six highly experienced individuals, including Mark Fernandes, Tim Guleri, David Schwab, Peter Wendell, Steven Williams and Ben Yu.[1]

Sierra Ventures has managed nine venture capital partnerships so far and has $1.5 billion of capital under management currently.[2] The company typically invests between $2 million to $25 million however, smaller or larger investments are also made in selected companies.[3] Some of the major investments include Novariant $40M, ZoomSystems $35M, Ooyala $22M, Verari Systems $20M, NebuAd $19M , MakeMyTrip.com $15M, Approva $14M, Multigig $10M and Corrigo $10M.
