Tim Switzer is the Head of Operations for .BUILD (Minardos Group), a company that was the sole applicant for the .build string.[1]

He was previously the Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer at DotGreen Community.[2] While there, he was responsible for all business operations of DotGreen, and was particularly focused on preparing for the TLD launch, while working on growth opportunities and channel distribution for Dot Green.[3]

He was formerly involved in ICANN through his work with Neustar, and continued to participate actively at ICANN with Dot Green. He is currently an observer in the Registry Constituency, is a member of the New TLD Applicant Group (NTAG) and was elected to be the Treasurer of the NTAG.[4]

Career History

Before joining .BUILD and DotGreen, Mr. Switzer worked at NeuStar for 10 years in different positions including VP of Integration, VP of Registry Services and VP of Business Operations. In 2001, he joined Neustar as CFO and VP Customer Operations for the Registry business. When he left Neustar in September of 2011, he was heading up the Neustar Registry Services Team. [5]

Tim Switzer also worked at IBM for 15 years starting in 1980. At IBM, he progressed thru a series of finance and business operations management roles in Field Operations and assignments in both US and Corporate HQ. After Tim left Neustar, he joined Visa Interactive, a subsidiary of Visa, in 1995 as the CFO and VP of Business Operations focused on the electronic banking business.

Education

He holds a Bachelors degree in Business Administration from James Madison University.

Fun Fact

Tim is an avid bicyclist and runner; he has run 3 marathons.[6]
