Cherie is a Programmer with 10 years combined experience in Systems Analysis and Development with skills in Project Management, Requirements Scoping, Search Engine Optimisation and Social Media Marketing.

Cherie is an independent contractor for various organisations in the Pacific region. Currently a Database Consultant for Rosie Holidays, based in Fiji. She is involved in Systems Analysis, Maintenance, support and updating of online booking platform and its related systems.

Cherie entered the ICANN ecosystem as a At-Large representative for Asian, Australasian and Pacific Islands Regional At-Large Organization (APRALO)at ICANN 60 in Abu Dhabi.

  • Currently serves as a Board Member of Pacific Islands Chapter of Internet Society (PICISOC).
  • A member of the Asia Pacific Regional Internet Governance Forum (APrIGF) Multistakeholder Steering Group (MSG) involved in the Fellowship Committee, Synthesis Document Drafting Committee, Programme committee.
  • Helped in the organising of the Pacific Internet Governance Forum (PacIGF) held within APrIGF in Vanuatu 2018
  • Has a strong interest in issues related to Internet accessibility, privacy and cybersecurity.
  • Helped organise the working group for Dialogue on Regional Cybersecurity in the Pacific.
  • is passionate about making the internet better, safer for women and children. She addresses Internet issues in the Pacific, seeking to empower women in the information and communications technology sector.
