Volker Alexander Greimann is the Chief Legal Officer and General Counsel at Key-Systems, an accredited registrar of ICANN, a member of the KeyDrive Group.[1]. He is currently a GNSO councillor in the Contracted Parties house of the GNSO[2].
Career
Volker joined the Key-Systems team in July 2008 filling the role of General Counsel of the company. He is responsible for ICANN and registry policy management, contractual and legal compliance, contractual work, litigation management and providing other legal and policy advice to the company.
ICANN
After having served a term in the office of Secretary of ICANN's Registrar Stakeholder Group since December 28, 2011, Volker has been elected by the Registrar Stakeholder Group as member of the GNSO Council. He started to serve in this new function in August 2012 during the 45th (Toronto) ICANN meeting.
Education
He is a graduate of the legal faculties of the University of Trier, having studied Law and Japanese studies. He is a fully qualified and licensed German lawyer and has working experience in both German law offices and law offices in Tokyo, Japan[3]. Besides Germany Volker has lived in various countries including Japan, the Netherlands, the USA and Canada.
