'’’Will Shorter’’’ is the Senior Manager of Product Management for Verisign, the registry operator of .com, .net and .name generic top level domain names (gTLDs); .cc and .tv country code top level domain names (ccTLDs).
Education
Shorter studied at the Pamplin College of Business at Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University from 1994 to 1998. He is taking another two years of continuing education from the same college and expected to graduate in 2012.[1]
Career History
Shorter worked as a technical support staff at Network Solutions registrar business for a period of two years from 1999 to 2000. He joined Verisign in 2001 as Customer Service Supervisor. His job was primarily focused in providing technical integration and implementation support for IDN registrars under the .com and .net domain space. He also trained team members, developed knowledge base technical support documentation and managed DNS services. He was the team expert on Shared Registration System and Internationalized Domain Name. Shorter was the primary author of EPP Reference Manual of Verisign. He is also a member of the Software Developers Consortium. .[2]
