Dana Cramer is a PhD student in Toronto, Canada. Dana's research focuses on the political economy of Internet Protocols. Her work traces global internet governance of internet infrastructure and standardization for Network2030. She has published on topics of broadband and telecommunications policy. Dana completed degrees and professional certificates from the University of Calgary. She has worked on projects on Canadian digital privacy policies, 5G development in Canada, teaching and learning, and recommendations for policymakers on Canadian communication and cultural policies. Dana won the 2020 CRTC Prize for Excellence in Policy Research – Master’s.

Involvement with ICANN

Dana Cramer was part of the NextGen@ICANN program for ICANN79 in San Juan, Puerto Rico for her first meeting. She gave a presentation on her research about Huawei/China's New Internet Protocol (New IP).
