.bv is the ccTLD for Bouvet Island, a Norwegian dependency. It is managed by Norid A/S.[1]

As the .sj ccTLD, the .bv top level domain has never been opened for domain name registrations, even though it was delegated to Norid in 1997. According to Norid's official website, as published in 2014 and later updated in 2019, if they decide to change this, "Norid will undertake a careful evaluation and a consequence analysis of the matter before deciding any changes". Also, they declare they will not sell nor give away .bv. As of April 2025, this remains the same.[2]
