Abusitta-Ouri served as the Vice President of Public Responsibility Programs for [[ICANN]] from June 2013 to June 2016. She oversaw the development of programs that reinforced ICANN's commitment to public responsibility through education, capacity-building, linguistics, and the like. She was also the Executive Director of International and Intergovernmental Organizations at ICANN since January 2013.<ref name="linkedin" />

In a news release from May 13, 2016, ICANN announced that Abusitta will step down from her position as Senior Vice President of Development and Public Responsibility Programs (DPRD). Abusitta worked with ICANN until June 1, 2016, after which she assisted her team in the transition before her departure. Abusitta's past experience also includes a 7-year stint from 2007 to 2014, where she served as an advisor to the ambassador of the United Arab Emirates. She represented the UAE in the Los Angeles area.<ref name="linkedin"></ref>
