In 1996 Johannes Loxen founded '''SerNet''', focused on internet and information security, including registrar services, VPN and firewall services for midsize and large corporations in the private and public sector. SerNet also produces [https://verinice.com verinice], the only Open Source ISMS-Tool for ISO 2700x, BSI Baseline Security and [[GDPR]] data protection rules and law. SerNet is a domain registrar under [https://www.denic.de/en DENIC] membership.
