===Background===
Samantha Frida has extensive experience in the domain name field, including her time as the domain name attorney from October 2000 to October 2003 for Philips Electronics; she was responsible for managing the entire domain name portfolio for the Dutch company. One of her few tasks at Philips Electronics was to implement a corporate domain name management policy. She was an active member of the Philips E-Commerce Legal Support Team (ECLST), having written the chapter on domain names for the Corporate brand management manual at Philips Electronics. 

She is an active member of both the [[Intellectual Property Constituency]] (IPC) at [[ICANN]], and the IP Committee of the Singapore Law Society.
