Bonface Witaba is an award winning multi-disciplinary Internet professional with a background that includes experience working in digital inclusion, ICT policy, Citizen Journalism, Sustainable development, Internet governance, e-Learning.[1] He works as an e-learning tutor and is a Consultant in technology and policy-related facets of internet governance.[1]

Bonface founded Centre for Youth Empowerment and Leadership (CYEL), an initiative that has won several international ICT awards for its concerted efforts to empower youth through digital inclusion, and has been nominated by Yuan Ze University in Taiwan as a 2015 African young scholar and fellow in Communication Policy Research.[1]

Bonface was also an ICANN Fellow at ICANN 54 in Dublin and ICANN 49 in Singapore, and is a DiploFoundation Internet Governance alumni.[1]

He frequently publishes opinions and writings related to his fields of interest via his Wordpress blog.[1]

Witaba's first ICANN meeting was ICANN 49 in Singapore.
