The Public Suffix List is a machine-readable list of domains (suffixes) under which names can be registered and used. For example: .com, .net, .coffee, pvt.k12.ma.us

The PSL is a Mozilla initiative, but is community-maintained. It is primarily useful to web browser manufacturers, and other domain-related software.
