Giovanni served as former General Manager of CENTR before joining EURid. During his term, he supervised the operations of the organization, consolidated its policy positions on different issues, and served as CENTR's representative with [[ICANN]], [[WSIS]], [[WGIG]], the European Union, and other international organizations and conferences. He also worked as the Head of External Relations of Italian Registry for the Institute of Informatics and Telematics (IIT) CNR, in Italy.
