Edwin A. Opare is the CEO and Co-Founder of the Center of Open Governance in Ghana. He has worked there since November 2012 and hopes to use Information Technology to promote effective, efficient, transparent, and accountable governance in his country. He is also the General Secretary of the Ghana Chapter of the Internet Society, where he has worked since February 2013, as well as the Technical Lead of Ghana Open Data Initiative, where he has worked since April 2012.[1]

Opare has been involved with ICANN through ISOC since 2012. ICANN 47 in Durban was his first ICANN conference.[2] He was an ICANN Fellow at ICANN 48 in Buenos Aires and ICANN 50 in London.[3]. Edwin was also an IETF Fellow at the IETF 88 meeting in Vancouver, November 2013. [4]
