Professor Hartmut Richard Glaser is currently the Executive Secretary of the Brazilian Internet Steering Committee in Brazil - CGI.br,[1] the entity responsible for all activities of the Brazilian Internet community, including: the registration of Brazil's ccTLD, the assignment of IP addresses in Brazil, the production of indicators and statistics on the availability and use of Internet in Brazil, and many other Internet related promotion and improvement activities.[2]

Glaser is currently the director of LACNIC, and the treasurer of LACTLD. In November, 2010, he was elected by LACNIC to serve on the Number Resource Organization Number Council as a representative of the region; his term began in January, 2011 and is set to last 3 years.[3]Mr. Glaser was a member of ICANN's NomCom for five years.[4]

Mr. Glaser is serving from 2011 through 2013 as an elected representative of LACNIC on ICANN's Address Supporting Organization's Executive Council.[5]
