Inye Kemabonta is both an Attorney and a Certified Information Technology Network Engineer. Currently, he is the Director of Standards and Regulation at the National Information Technology Development Agency Nigeria.[1] Mr. Kemabonta was also the Chair of the Inter-Agency Drafting Committee on Electronic Transactions Law.[2]

His current position involves developing IT policies and addressing regulatory issues both within the country of Nigeria and at a variety of international fora;[3] he has been involved in IT policy development and implementation for over a decade.[4] His previous experience includes working in the Nigerian Parliament on a Technology Oversight Committee from 2000 to 2002.

Mr. Kemabonta is an observer within ICANN's GAC, but attends other interest group meetings during ICANN conferences.[5]
