Josh Gold is born and raised in Toronto, Canada, but holds dual Canadian-Estonian citizenship. He is a research assistant at Citizen Lab, and researches global cyberspace governance and state behaviour in cyberspace – with a current focus on Canadian cyberspace foreign policy. He is a board member of the Canadian International Council, and a 2019 Visiting Fellow at The Hague Program for Cyber Norms. He is involved in the internet governance community, most recently having been selected as a 2019 ICANN NextGen participant.
