Daniel Karrenberg is one of the [[RIPE NCC]] founders and an important contributor for the first pan-European [[ISP]].<ref>[http://labs.ripe.net/Members/dfk RIPE website]</ref> He helped found [[RIPE]] in 1989, and went on to create the [[RIPE NCC]], the first [[RIR]], in the 1990s. He is a member of the [[RSSAC Caucus]].

Throughout his career, Mr. Karrenberg played a important role in developing several Internet services such as RIPE Routing Information Service (RIS) or Name Server Demon (NSD).
