The [[ICANN|Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers]] through its representatives attend the meetings organized by NANOG.

The organizations are involved through the overlap of participation of their respective members. The agreement states that the two parties will conduct joint technical engagement and outreach efforts at colleges and universities in North America and the Caribbean concerning [[cybersecurity]] programs, informatics, computer science, and other network-related issues.
