Kasun Tharaka Wickramasuriya is a Project Manager of Information and Communication Technology Agency of Sri Lanka (ICTA) and serving as a Secretary of Internet Society Sri Lanka Chapter (ISOC-LK). Moreover he is a mentor and he has experience and competencies in ICT capacity building, digital transformation, digital education, change management, community informatics, community empowerment and internet governance. He is holding a Master’s in Business Administration (MBA) from University of Kelaniya, Sri Lanka and obtained bachelors degree of BSc. (Hons) in Information and Communication Technology (BSc ICT) from University of Colombo in 2009. As an academia his research areas are Digital Transformation, ICT for Community Empowerment, eGovernment, ICT for Development, ICT Capacity Building, Internet Governance and ICT Policy Development. As a professional, he has worked for many organizations related to ICT sector, Tourism and Hospitality industry, Banking Sector, Government Sector and have 10+ years of working experiences in different areas of ICT. Moreover, he is coordinating and managing ICT Capacity Building initiatives for community sector & Government Sector and eGovernment Capacity building projects to develop digitally empowered community and build digitally enabled country. According to his competencies he got valuable opportunities to participate international conferences and training programmes in ICT sector such as APIGA 2017 in Seoul, South Korea, SAKURA Exchange Programme in Science in 2017 at Japan, ICTD 2012 in Georgia Institute of Technology, Atlanta, USA.

He is a highly competent ICT Professional, Transformation Strategist, and Community Development Expert with extensive experience in the ICT sector. He is having over 12 years of experience in the corporate and public sectors and has proven skills in Capacity Building, Digital Transformation, Digital Adoption & Inclusion, Internet Governance, Community Development, Change Management, and Policy Development.
