Ashwin Rangan is the SVP of Engineering & Chief Information Officer for ICANN. He joined ICANN in March 2014 as the company's Chief Innovation and Information Officer, where he applied IT solutions to address real-world business problems.[1][2]
Rangan has over 20 years as a CIO with board-level experience in large, publicly traded companies, including Edwards Lifesciences (medical devices), Wal-Mart (retail), Conexant (semiconductors), and Rockwell (conglomerate).[1]
He serves as a Member of the Board of Directors for Smart Utility Systems and as an Advisory Board Member for Marketshare; he enjoys entrepreneurship and helping young companies as a board contributor. His volunteer experience also includes serving as a Member of the Board of Directors for the American Red Cross's Desert to the Sea Chapter, as a Board Member for UC Irvine's Center for Digital Transformation, and as a Member of the Working Group for the World Economic Forum.[1]
