On [https://domainnamewire.com/2023/01/04/namecheap-claims-victory-in-org-and-info-price-cap-battle/ January 5], [[Domain Name Wire]] reported that [[Namecheap]] had claimed victory in its battle to maintain price caps on [[.org]] and [[.info]] domain names. Back in 2020, the [[registrar]] filed for the Independent Review Process ([[IRP]]) to consider ICANN’s unilateral removal of the price caps, arguing [[ICANN Staff]] had made the decision to remove price caps against the interests of domain name [[registrant]]s and registrars.
