The NetBeacon Institute (formerly the DNS Abuse Institute) was created by PIR to develop initiatives to generate recommended practices, foster collaboration, and find industry-shared solutions to combat malware, botnets, phishing, pharming, and related spam.[1]

Founded in 2021 in furtherance of PIR’s nonprofit mission.

As NetBeacon Institute

The Institute was renamed in 2024 to the NetBeacon Institute. [2]
