.gw is the ccTLD for Guinea-Bissau. The letters "gw" come from the country's name in Fula, Gine-Bisaawo. It is managed by the Autoridade Reguladora Nacional - Tecnologias de Informação e Comunicação da Guiné-Bissau.[1]
Rules and Restrictions
When submitting a domain, it must be ensured that the domain is not a prohibited one and does not infringe on the rights of third parties. Prohibited domains are those that may, in particular:
- correspond to words or expressions that are contrary to the law, public order, or good morals;
- correspond to any Internet top-level domain;
- correspond to names that could cause misleading or confusion about their ownership, particularly if they coincide with well-known or prestigious brands belonging to others;
