.nr is the ccTLD for Nauru. It is managed by CENPAC NET.[1]

Rules and Restrictions[edit | edit source]

The terms and conditions do not specify any restrictions for registering a .nr domain name except that the applicant must be of legal age and that, to the best of one's knowledge and belief neither the registration of the domain name nor the manner in which one intends to use it will directly or indirectly infringe the legal rights of a third party.[2]

Registering directly under .nr is substantially more expansive than under their available second-level domains. According to the information retrieved from the registry's official website in October 2024, the price for the first is 500 hundred dollars, versus the price of 50 dollars for registration under the SLDs.[3]

Second-level Domains[edit | edit source]

The following SLDs are available: ".net.nr", ".org.nr", ".com.nr", ".biz.nr", ".info.nr", ".gov.np" and ".edu.np".

The domain names under ".edu.nr" and ".gov.nr" are reserved for corresponding entities in Nauru.[3]
