Nojus Saad

Dr. Nojus Saad is a physician, digital health entrepreneur, and global advocate for equitable digital policies, with over eight years of experience driving innovation at the intersection of healthcare, technology, and social justice. Renowned for his pioneering work in leveraging digital health technologies, Dr. Saad focuses on addressing health inequities through AI, digital medicine, and data-driven solutions integrated into global health strategies.

As the President & CEO of the Youth For Women Foundation, Dr. Saad has empowered over 6,100 women and children across 70 underserved communities in Iraq, India, and France. His work reflects a deep commitment to equitable healthcare access, rooted in his early experiences growing up in rural Iraq, where essential health services were scarce.

Dr. Saad is a Senior Digital Policy Fellow with the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN), having been selected as an ICANN73 and ICANN77 Fellow. He has attended three ICANN Public Meetings, including the ICANN81 Annual General Meeting, where he has contributed to high-level discussions on Internet governance and digital policy. Dr. Saad has made history as the youngest and first-ever physician in the role and has been an influential voice in shaping inclusive digital policies, advocating for the Internet’s potential to address the digital determinants of health for marginalized communities. As a key member in the Non-Commercial Stakeholders Group within the Generic Names Supporting Organization, he has engaged in high-level discussions with the ICANN Board, technology companies, and government agencies, emphasizing the transformative role of Internet infrastructure in advancing health equity and social justice.

From 2020 to 2021, Dr. Saad served as the United Nations Internet Governance Forum Youth Ambassador, representing the Department of Economic and Social Affairs and the Internet Society to the Government of Poland. At the Internet Governance Forum in Katowice, he organized workshops addressing the digital transformation of healthcare and the role of encryption as a human right. During his tenure, he dialogued with global leaders, technology executives, and policymakers on Internet governance issues impacting young people in the Middle East.

Dr. Saad also serves as a technical advisor to the World Health Organization and seven prominent United Nations agencies through the Global Action for Measurement of Adolescent Health. In this role, he integrates digital health technologies into global adolescent health frameworks. Additionally, as Regional Digital Health Researcher at the Digital Transformations for Health Lab, he is advancing AI-driven healthcare solutions and championing digital health innovation for vulnerable populations worldwide.

Dr. Saad holds a medical degree (MBChB) and has pursued advanced executive training in global health diplomacy through the Karolinska Institute and the Stockholm School of Economics. His expertise in digital health, Internet governance, and global policy advocacy positions him as a transformative leader shaping the future of health and technology.
