In 2000, when Startpath went bankrupt, a 21-year old Lawrence and his friend Fred Hsu decided to start their own business. Using only their own savings, about 10.000$,  the two created a small office for Oversee.net.The success of the company grew as they acquired Domain Sponsor, followed by SnapNames and Moniker.
