Domainr (short for Domain Research) is a domain name search engine that covers the entire domain space, including all new gTLDs and ccTLDs.
History
Domainr was launched in October 2008. The founders Eric Case, Cameron Walters, and Randy Reddig conceived of the idea when the service they wanted did not exist. At that time, there was no single search engine that spanned the entire domain space and the scarcity of .com domains was forcing companies to look elsewhere. It was the first domain search box to include all of the traditional top-level domains in conjunction with all ccTLDS and new gTLDs. [1]
