'''Aarti Bhavana''' is a Programme Officer at the Centre for Communication Governance (CCG) at National Law University, Delhi.

Coming from a legal background, her interests mainly lie in human rights. At CCG, she closely follows Global Internet Governance institutions, with a specialized focus on ICANN. Through her involvement in the ICANN world, she remains fascinated by the extent to which Global Internet Governance institutions can impact the rights of individuals. In furtherance of this, she has been working on WHOIS issues, and is a member of the next-gen RDS PDP Working Group. Her other areas of interest lie in institutional accountability and transparency, for which she has been closely tracking the ongoing IANA transition process and the related CCWG-Accountability recommendations. She also coordinates the ‘Dirty Picture Project’, a student-run project that analyses the portrayal of women in Bollywood films.

She graduated from National Law University, Delhi in 2015 with a Bachelors degree in Arts and Law (Honors). While in law school, she pursued her interests by taking up seminar courses on Global Internet Governance and Copyright law, including the India satellite course of CopyrightX by Harvard Law School. She was the Managing Editor of NLU Delhi Student Law Journal for the period of 2014-2015.
